The long awaited Asus ROG 5s and ROG 5s Pro has just been launched today. The new gaming smartphones comes in two models, the vanilla ROG Phone 5s and the ROG Phone 5s Pro. Both ROG Phone 5s are powered by Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset. The phoness have 6.78'' Samsung AMOLED E4 display with a quick 144Hz refresh rate for buttery animations, 360Hz touch sampling rate for quick response times, and maximum brightness of 1200 nits.
Vanilla ROG Phone 5s comes with a maximum of 18GB DDR5 Memory while the ROG Phone 5s Pro comes with only 18GB LPDDR5 Memory configuration.
The ROG Phone 5s comes in two colors, Phantom Black and Storm White. And the ROG Phone 5s Pro is offered in only Phantom Black colour option. Both ROG smartphones have the dimensions 17.3x7.7 x.99cm and weigh 238 grams.
There is no news regarding the prices and the availability of the ROG 5s and the ROG 5s Pro. Both the ROG smartphones are similar to a great extent except the ROG Phone 5s Pro gets a rear ROG Vision matrix colour display and a extra touch sensor on the back panel.
As mentioned above the vanilla ROG Phone 5s and the ROG Phone 5s Pro are powered by Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset paired with Adreno 660 GPU. The ROG Phone 5s comes with 8GB, 12GB, 16GB, and 18GB LPDDR5 memory configurations while the ROG Phone 5s Pro comes with only 18GB LPDDR5 memory. The ROG Phone 5s has 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB options, while the ROG Phone 5s Pro has 512GB optoin. Both the phones use ROG UI powered on Android 11.
The Asus gaming smartphones are accompanied with a 6.78'' FHD+ Samsung AMOLED E4 display with the safest, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, protection. The newest and toughest Gorilla Glass.
Both ROG Phone 5s and ROG Phone 5s Pro have a cemra unit with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. The front facing sensor is a 24-megapixel primary sensor. Both Asus ROG smartphones are fueled by 6,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging support. They have dual front stereo speakers to improve the gaming experince and for a normal use.
Both the phone use dual-SIM 5G and 4G LTE support, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. It also comes with a headphone jack, USB C port and NFC. Both the phones have tons of sensors including in-display fingerprint sensor, face recognition, proximity sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, ambient light sensor, ultrasonic sensors for the AirTrigger 5 and grip sensor.
