 Satya Narayana Nadella is an Indian-born American business executive. Satya Nadella is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft. Nadella was born in Hyderabad of present-day Telangana. 








He earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, Karnataka, and Master's degree in Computer science from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and an MBA from the University of Chicago. 


Before becoming CEO, he was the executive vice president of Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group, responsible for building and running the company's computing platforms. Nadella officially became CEO of the company on Feb. 4, 2014, after the previous head, Steve Ballmer, announced his resignation in August 2013. Ballmer and Bill Gates picked Nadella to pull the company up from the hard times that had hit. Nadella swept in and enacted swift changes to the company. 

Nadella held leadership roles in both enterprise and consumer businesses across the company. He empowered a cultural shift at Microsoft by highlighting empathy, collaboration, and a "growth mindset". He has successfully changed the corporate world of Microsoft to an environment that emphasizes continuous learning and growth.

Some of his other Achievements are Time Honoree in 2018, Financial Times Person of the year in 2019, Fortune Businessperson of the Year in 2019, Recently recognized as Global Indian Business Icon in Mumbai in the year 2020.
